Chestnut Park Playground

The 17.36 acre municipal park is located at the north east corner of West Ridge Road and Chestnut Grove Road.  Carroll Township received a $98,000.00 grant from the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources towards the purchase of the property.  Carroll Township also received a $145,000.00 grant  from the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for development of the park.  The Township will pave the parking area, construct a walking path around the park and build a playground with these grant funds.  The new facility will consist of a regulation size lacrosse field and soccer fields.  Also situated among the diverse landscaping of the park will be a basketball court, youth and tot playgrounds, concession stand with restrooms and a large pavilion.  An adequate landscaped parking lot along with a system of walking/biking paths will provide access to all areas of the park.
